Our Story
Made for people who'd rather not buy plastic.
Stoneward began with a small annoyance that wouldn't go away. Every fruit washer, colander, and serving bowl on the shelf was thin plastic, the kind that stains, cracks, and ends up in the bin within a year. We wanted the opposite: something honest, made of real material, that you'd actually want to leave out on the counter and keep for years.

So we went looking for fired stoneware. It's just clay and minerals taken to a high temperature until it's hard and dense. It won't stain or hold odors the way plastic does, and it's good enough to leave out on the counter. We pick pieces with real character: a glaze with depth, and a shape that earns its place at the table.
The glaze is the part we love most. It's reactive, so it pools and shifts in the kiln, and no two pieces come out exactly the same. The one that lands on your table is its own, a little different from the photo and a little different from your neighbor's.

Our first piece is the Vortex Berry Bowl. Hold it under the tap and a slow swirl rinses your berries hands-free, the drainage lets the water run clear, and then it becomes the bowl you serve from. Rinse, drain, and serve from the same bowl, with nothing throwaway about it.

We are a small operation with a short lineup we actually believe in: real materials, made to last, and no plastic. That's the whole idea behind Stoneward.
